There are various variants of Heating boiler

There are many different types of gas Gas Central Heating Systems available to you. These systems for the most part are made up of a number of heating radiators, pipework and of course a gas boiler.

Whilst we need heating systems air conditioners are not needed in the United Kingdom and Europe because of the average temperature throughout the year. Today a good Central Heating system has become a major part of every home, so much so that it is being fitted in all the new houses that are being constructed.

A reliable Gas Central Heating system is important to keep your house warm especially during winter months. While blizzards rage on outside, you can be safe and warm on the inside. So you want to be sure that your Gas Central Heating System is dependable. You should feel that your Gas Central Heating System is safe, easy to use and long lasting.

Vented (or pumped) and Sealed heating systems are the two most common types available.

The most commonly used systems are pumped/vented Central Heating systems. The pumped/vented Gas Central Heating Systems have an expansion tank and a feed. The hot water tank performs two functions; firstly, supply hot water to your house, and secondly, provides heat to the central heating radiators. Water expands when heated; this expansion is accommodated in a feed-expansion tank. It is normally placed at the highest place of the house like the attic area, taking up space. It serves a dual purpose by heating the house and also supplying heated water.

Many homes feature a pumped/vented Central Heating System, particularly the ones constructed several year ago.

A Sealed Gas Central Heating System is a relatively modern technology, and is being adopted by many homeowners today. This system doesn’t have water tanks as it’s a closed heating system, this will save you space and reduce maintenance costs as there are fewer components. This unvented system eliminates water tanks and loft plumbing, thus giving a number of advantages.

- The problem of freezing pipes is eliminated.

- There is no need to maintain the tanks and pipes as there are not present.

- Because the system is not vented, there is less chance of water leaking out.

- The sealing of the system eliminates dirt buildup, air locking and corrosion that often troubles open vented systems.

- Can be flushed out under pressure if needed by the mains water supply.

A sealed Gas Central Heating System is a system with the required controls and safety equipment all contained in one. The mains water supplies the water required for the sealed Central Heating system. It is plumbed straight into the main water supply.

The system also has a pressure vessel which contains compressed gas, it controls the variations in pressure and a diaphragm is used to separate it from the sealed system. The safety valve opens up when the pressure in the system rises so that water can escape through it, on the other hand it opens up when the pressure drops down so that the water can refill the system.

Overall Gas Central Heating Systems offer more value for money as compared to alternative heating systems as they can be very efficient. They also offer you all round control which is more than most heating systems do.
