Warm households have brand-new central heating systems

We should all prepare for the wintertime months as the weather gets colder and the days shorter by having good gas central heating in our homes. There’s nothing cosier than a warm room while a blizzard rages outdoors, and this warmth is best provided by a sturdy and efficient gas central heating system.

In general, two types of central heating systems exist, one that’s pumped and the other with a vented system; but a heating boiler, central heating radiator and pipework make up the elements of most heaters.

The most commonly used gas central heating systems are the pumped systems, which consists of two prominent parts, a feed and expansion tank; the tank is the core of the system, it first heats itself and then transfers the heat to the heaters through the pipes. The expansion tank might fill up at times because of water expansion.

The vented central heating system, on the other hand, is a sealed system, and it doesn’t have the centre section. It’s basically closed, so there is really no need for any water tanks and the space they require. The major benefits from this type of system, is that it essentially lessens the risk of leaking and stops other possible problems such airlocks, one of the better advantages, especially for colder countries is that there is no hazard of pipes freezing up.

You may ask why you need gas central heating and what are its advantages?.

The primary benefit of gas central heating is that the entire home or office is warmed up rapidly, and that too, without adversely affecting the air around you. Electric fires, gas and storage heaters were the types used in the old days. These primitive heaters invariably resulted in a harsh, sticky and smelly atmosphere.

Central heating ended such problems, however your central heating system should be checked and maintained regularly in order to ensure it is running at its optimum. Many households only use their central heating during the cold months and leave them entirely unused during the summer, this is a common error. It is more prudent to routinely switch on the system in autumn as wintertime approaches, so that any hitches can be repaired by summoning a gas central heating expert well in time.

Furthermore, some of these systems also give admission to air and dirt; therefore flushing is a necessity, which should be done regularly with an annual service schedule. You can achieve this most effectively by putting a a bucket under the valve and opening it carefully to release the water, but you need to take extra care to prevent any additional water from entering the system.
